Things foreigners know about Australia.

That. Everything is wrong about that sentence.

Oh and congrats Barack Obama on your win. Your beautiful wife is wearing the same dress as my good friends Sydney Shop Girl and Jess.

I loved your speech. Especially this bit.

"I have always believed that hope is that stubborn thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us so long as we have the courage to keep reaching, to keep working, to keep fighting."

  3. Somehow I feel the need to apologize for this fool but she's hardly the worst of the bunch. For the past four years we have had to fight back against hateful, insulting, scurrilous rumors that President Obama wasn't born in this country, but in Kenya, and thus he's not a "real American." Every aspect of his life became fodder for these crazies, with the worst centering on his religion: specifically that's he's really a secret Muslim (sometimes spelled "muslin"). Although in his first run for office he was criticized for attending a particular Christian church with a fiery pastor, four years later he somehow morphed into a dreaded Muslim. And that's how that "Christian" tweet came up, because obviously this foreigner, this son of an African father, of a Kansas-born mother, the grandson of two loving and devoted grandparents living in the State of Hawaii, couldn't possibly be a real American.
