Following inspiration from the lovely Faux Fuschia, I want to know the stories of how you found my blog. Some of the stories from FF's readers were great. Can you believe one of her childhood neighbours stumbled across her blog!
So...how did you find my blog? And how long have you been reading? Was my blog recommended to you? Were you searching for 'Carly Findlay with pink skin'? (That's a true Google search!) Or are you an old friend secretly lurking?
I'd love to know!
And there may even be a prize for the best story!
I love the communities that blogging creates. The kindness and friendships created is wonderful.
YAY the Bob Evans Facebook Page :D
ReplyDeleteDear Carls,
ReplyDeleteI found you via vogue when you sent me a message. I love your blog and admire your courage and sense of humour.
Keep blogging. You are an Inspiration.

Hi Carly,
ReplyDeleteI found you via Lilli at Frocks and Frou Frou, another gorgeous fashion inspiration blog!
I'm new to blogging and am really enjoying not only posting, but reading the posts of others, there is a real sense of community out there!

Hi Carly
ReplyDeleteI'm a long-time lurker. I found you via Vogue forum (I suspect that will be a popular answer!). I love your blog, especially your contagious excitement about things!
Also, wanted to comment to let you know that I heard an email from a Carly Findlay read out on Nova FM yesterday re Angus & Julia Stone. I am guessing it was you!
I honestly can't remember how I found your blog, but it was most likely from another blogger's blogroll. Intrigued by the title, I had a look at your blog and really liked what I read, so I subscribed.
ReplyDeleteJust serendipity, I think. :)
ReplyDeleteYou found me on facebook from my Trinny and Susannah album I posted on the Vogue Forum. I found your blog from being your friend on facebook, now I love reading it and can't wait to meet you one day :-)
ReplyDeleteFound you from ichthyosis.com My baby girl has EHK. I love hearing how you are making your life so full. Plus you write well!
ReplyDeleteman it was a while ago when I happened upon your blog... or did you happen upon mine? I don't even remember how I found you, I'm glad I did though, I really enjoy reading!
ReplyDeleteRudy's Raiser
I found you through ChronicBabe.com's Blogger forum/group.
ReplyDeletePS: I should add that I think your blog is very interesting and lively. Glad I found the link; asking folks to comment on how they found you is a great idea both from you and Faux Fuschia!
ReplyDeleteHi Carly!!
ReplyDeleteYou were a lovely reader of mine for a long time & always had such great articulate comments. You let me know when you started your blog & it's just gone from strength to strength!
You are force to be reckoned with & one of the strongest spirits I know!

Hi Carly!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember how I found out about your blog, perhaps Facebook, or an email, or VF? Either way, it doesn't matter coz I'm here! I still have no blog, maybe next year... haha
I love your blog because we share a psssion for 90s music (Alanis is still in my car CD player), food and fashion. Love your style.
xx Polly
We met in Melbourne years ago, and when I got home you added me on Facebook (apparently despite my usual obnoxious drunkenness, I didn't make too bad an impression!).
ReplyDeleteI started reading when you'd link to your blog in your posts, and discovered that you write beautifully (and your story about that evil bitch shop assistant made me want to go firebomb her shop).
On a side note, I read/post on the Vogue forums too, and found you there when you wrote in the hair thread about finding a compassionate hairdresser! So it's funny, because original meeting aside, it turns out I would have wound up here anyway ;)
I'm another lurker...lol i thought one of your posts (can't remember which) on vogue was interesting so thought Id check out your blog- and was so happy with what I found! You are so inspirational, and I think your blog is really well written, interesting and entertaining, I always look forward to reading new posts :)
ReplyDeleteWhat you are doing to raise awareness about your condition is amazing, and it is making a real difference in the world :)

We started chatting on Twitter over our mutual love of Rush! I checked out the link to your blog and the rest is history! (only a short history so far, but see it be a longer one!). x
ReplyDeleteHi Carly .... we share a love of Callan. You left me a message on a post I did and then I checked your blog out - and now I read your blog every day.
ReplyDeleteAnother one who found you on the Vogue Forum!
ReplyDeleteI thought your blog title in your signature was cool so I clicked! Been reading ever since :-)
You are a great writer x
I found you on Vogue as well.
ReplyDeleteYou have been the voice of reason, logic, humour and inspiration ever since.
Not to mention the last word in cool shopping finds.

I found this blog through Vogue, but then realised that I met you at a mutual friend's 21st ages ago when I was looking at old photos (Colette - let me know if you don't know who I'm talking about!)
ReplyDeleteLove the blog, keep up the great work :)

You commented on and followed my blog. Lame, I know. But I appreciate that a lot, and it's lead to reading yours :).
ReplyDeleteI've never commented before so I thought this'd be a good place to start ;) I found your blog on 20 Something Bloggers only recently but I have been following you ever since. I love reading what you have to say and it is fascinating to me. You are a wonderful, honest writer and it's really refreshing.
ReplyDeleteMy best friend Fi (from http://whatwasthataddressagain.blogspot.com) told me about your blog. She thought I would like it because I know what it's like to be judged on my appearance in a similar way to you. Then I read a few entries and realised you love Darren Hayes and Callan Mulvey and I was sold! :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog, and you, are amazing.
Twittaaahhh.
ReplyDeleteJazpearl. :)
I found you in the SITS challenge. I thought the post you shared was very thought provoking. I work in an office and see customers every day. I have several who have different handicaps and disabilities. I try to be the same with them that I am with any customer, and most of them have made comments to me about it, asking me why their problem doesn't bother me? I guess I've never really though about it before either. I just kinda pass it off when they mention it. But I think you are right. I just try to treat people the way I want to be treated. I got a lot out of your blog. I will be back. Thanks! Angela
ReplyDeleteHi Carly
ReplyDeleteSomeone tweeted a link to your article about the mean shop lady who had a go at you a while ago.
I have hung around since :-)
Hey Carly, I found you via the Vogue forum! I saw your signature and thought it was an actual radio station/podcast thing, but it turns out that your blog is way cooler than that. Love it.
ReplyDeleteWork, facebook, and now your lovely blog :) I still remember how excited you were as the numbers started to climb on your page counter! You've done an amazing job of creating this popular blog Carly, well done and I hope you keep writing forever.
ReplyDeleteI found you because you found me!
ReplyDeleteDivine then Facebook, then blog, and then Twitter. I hope they don't introduce any more social networks, I'm not sure I could keep up!
We only recently connected. I think it may have been via a BlogFrog discussion. I know I have also seen your comments on Crunchy Betty but don't know if you wound up there from following a link within my blog or independently?
ReplyDeleteHi Carly,
ReplyDeleteI found this blog via Facebook via the young chick that did work experience with me many many, many moons ago!!!
Your Blogs always brings some kind of emotion out of me, some good, some bad, but always an emotion.
Also Vajazzle was the hottest goggle topic at the station (yes still there) last week, thanks to you!!!
Chronic Babe's, Babe!
